Last year Michigan basketball had a strength of schedule that was generally considered one of the 10 toughest in the nation. John Beilein recently announced some of Michigan’s non conference schedule for 2009-10 and it looks like it will be another tough schedule. Here is what we know so far:
Nov. 26-29, Michigan will participate in the 2009 Old Spice Classic in Orlando. A total of eight teams will play three games in the Thanksgiving Tournament at the Milk House at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex. Joining U-M in the field is Alabama, Baylor, Creighton, Florida State, Iona, Marquette and Xavier.
Dec. 2, Michigan will host Boston College in the Big Ten/ACC challenge
Dec. 9, Michign will head west to face Utah, the defending Mountain West champions.
Dec. 19, Michigan will travel to Phog Allen Field House to play the Kansas Jayhawks
Jan. 17, Michigan will host Connecticut.
The match up with Kansas is part of a home and home that the two schools scheduled. Kansas will travel to Michigan in 2010.
