Jacoby Ellsbury Rejoins Team, Offers Explanation

ESPN published an interesting account of Ellsbury’s return to the team and of the details surrounding his injury.  You can see that post here.

I think this is a bigger story than previously reported in that there might be some lingering animosity between Ellsbury and the club.  Did the Red Sox misdiagnose him?  Was his rehab in Arizona really done with the team’s full support?

Perhaps none of that will matter.  Or perhaps we all just witnessed a wedge being driven between the speedster and the organization that developed him.  I won’t make any predicitions, but I find the whole sequence of events to be very odd.
