North Carolina Basketball Recruiting: Troy Williams will announce where he will go after High School season

As I posted a while back class of 2013 small forward Troy Williams had North Carolina as one of the colleges in his final five. From the ZagsBlog by Adam Zagoria comes word that the young man is going to make his decision between the end of high school and the beginning of the AAU season, and since this is the electronic era, he did so by tweeting it out. One thing that has changed is that the Hamption, Va. player has dropped Virginia Tech from his final list. Along with UNC the 6’6″/190 lbs wing is also considering Kentucky, Georgetown and Villanova, and with the exception of the last school the young man has visited all the schools already.

Personally I see this as a two school race, with UNC and UK battling it out til the end. Not sure who is ahead in the race right now for the 2013 forward, but it will be interesting to see how it all unfolds. Of course, as soon as more news comes out about Troy Williams I will post it on this blog.
