The Michigan Football program picked up 8 verbal commitments in a whirlwind recruiting weekend. Things started off with 4 quick commitments on Saturday morning. They added two more late Saturday night when Chris Fox and Taco Charlton climbed aboard the Maize and Blue train.
Brady Hoke and Co. capped things off on Sunday with commitments from Jake Butt and Logan Tuley-Tillman.
All 8 of the new Michigan commits are 4-star recruits.
Kyle Bosch got the commitment wave rolling on Saturday morning when he pledged to play his college football at Michigan. Bosch is a 6-foot-5, 285 pound OL out of Wheaton, Illinois. ESPNU and rivals both rank him as a 4-star recruit. He checks in at #60 overall with rivals.

The next player to commit was Wyatt Shallman. He is a highly coveted prospect out of Detroit Catholic Central. He is classified as an athlete. He is an outstanding running back and defensive end. Shallman checks in at 6-foot-3, 255 pounds and is rated a 4-star recruit by rivals and scout.
The next dominoes to fall in Michigan’s favor were a pair of 4-star prospects out of Detroit Cass Tech. Jourdan Lewis is a 5-foot-11, 170 pound playmaking cornerback. He notched 8 interceptions as a junior and scored 11 TDs. His teammate, David Dawson, will be joining him in Ann Arbor. Dawson is a 6-foot-5, 305 pound mauler who plays OG at Cass Tech.
Chris Fox (Parker, Colorado), a 4-star OL, decided to join the party and committed on Saturday night. He is a highly touted player who rivals.com ranks as the #46 overall prospect in the class of 2013.
Taco Charlton (Pickerington, Ohio) threw his hat in the ring and committed during his visit as well. Charlton measures at 6-6, 240 pounds and plays OLB for Pickerington Central. He projects as a DE at the collegiate level. Charlton is a 4-star recruit
On Sunday, Jake Butt (Pickerington, Ohio) informed Brady Hoke that he wanted to play for Michigan. Butt is a 6-foot-5, 220 pound TE. He is a 4-star recruit and is ranked #96 overall by rivals.com. Butt plays for Pickerington North
To cap things off Michigan picked up their 8th commitment of the weekend from Logan Tuley-Tillman (Peoria, Illinois). He is a 6-foot-7, 295 pound 4-star OT and is ranked #109 overall by rivals.com
That makes 8 recruits in 2 days to join Michigan’s 2013 class. They are all 4-star prospects that hail from Michigan (3), Ohio (2), Illinois (2), and Colorado (1).

It was really a historic weekend of recruiting, I’m not sure there has ever been another one like it. Bosch, Fox and Tuley-Tillman represent 3 of the Top 10 OL recruits in the nation.
