Michigan Football’s recruiting momentum continues to build like a great maize and blue wave thundering across the landscape of College Football. The latest, in what has been a steady flow of highly ranked, high character recruits to commit is 4-star linebacker Ben Gedeon (Hudson, Ohio).
The 6-foot-3, 215 pound Gedeon is the 13th member of the ESPNU 150 Watchlist to select the University of Michigan as his college destination. He earned All-Ohio honors as a junior racking up 95 tackles and 5 TFLs. He also rushed for 1,600 yards. His tremendous athletic abilities have earned him nicknames that include “The Freak” and “The Answer”. His older brothers, Alex who served as Harvard Football’s Captain last season and Sam who plays Sprint Football at the Naval Academy, labeled him “The Freak” when he was still a youngster.
Gedeon represents another behind enemy lines recruiting victory for Brady Hoke and Co. as he is the 8th player from the state of Ohio to join U-M’s 2013 class. He chose Michigan over offers from Ohio State, Penn State, Stanford, Tennessee and others. Below is a look at Michigan’s complete 2013 recruiting class that is destined to finish in the Top 5 of the national rankings.
