According to a report on AnnArbor.com, Michigan’s AD, David Brandon, told reporters in Chicago that the Wolverines Football team would once again wear alternate uniforms in 2012. U-M wore alternate uniforms 3 times in 2011. The first time was for the historic night game at Michigan Stadium against Notre Dame. The second time was for a game at Michigan State and the final time was in the Sugar Bowl.
Here is a look at each of the 3 alternate uniforms Michigan wore in 2011.
The uniforms that Michigan wore at Michigan State were by far the least popular of the three. The blue and yellow stripes on the shoulders combined with the white pants were just too hard to overcome. Credit Michigan and Adidas though, because they nailed it with the Sugar Bowl uniforms, see Frank Clark above. Vote in the polls below and let us know which uniform you liked best last year and which games you’d like to see the Wolverines break out the alternate uniforms for in 2012.

I would love to see Michigan wear their traditional uniforms when they play Alabama. Two of the three most recognized jersey’s in college football, both should wear their regular jersey’s. The third PSU is under major sanctions, so no one will be seeing their jersey’s in a big game in years. I am glad we got to play a home and home with them the last two years before the Paterno image was tarnished.

How about “None” for the poll questions? All of the alternate jerseys from last season were terrible, and the one for this season isn’t much better. I don’t want U-M to become the next Oregon or Maryland.
