The University of Michigan unveiled the commemorative jerseys that they will be wearing for the season opener against Alabama.

For the Cowboys Classic Game against Alabama, the Wolverines will don a white road jersey with maize across the shoulders and down to the sleeve. Blue piping will separate the maize from the white on the jersey. A blue block ‘M’ will appear on the left and right sleeve of the jersey and the player numbers are blue. Michigan will wear its traditional maize pants with the blue block ‘M’ on the left hip. The Wolverines’ adizero Smoke gloves will feature lyrics to the school’s fight song, “The Victors.”
The Wolverines will wear their traditional home and away jerseys for the duration of the season. It was also announced that after the Alabama game, Michigan will no longer place the players numbers on the helmets.
Michigan will be utilizing a new paint technology on the maize wings on the helmet in order to better highlight the most recognizable helmet in college football and create a more durable surface. The Wolverines will also add the American Flag to the back of the helmet starting this season.

It’s about time they changed Jersy permanentl. OREGON is so far advanced in Uniforms they Have the Best in all sports. Michigam and Michigan State do it for a game then go back to Old School as we move into the Fucture maybe the Education system is the same get with it Michigan and michigan State Make that Change or be left behind!!!
Michigan has the best jersey’s in sports. They don’t need to try to lure recruits with making new uniforms, because its tradition. Nothing beats the winged helmets and block M.

Luke, the problem with Nike is they seem to take it too far and have come up with some really bizarre uniforms, see Oregon. I do like this one, it looks good. Intriguing idea you have there Chad.

They have tried everything but what i really want them to do…..wear dark blue pants with maize block M….and white jerseys….how awesome would that be?….these are neither here nor there with me……

Better than last season’s attempts, but Adidas is still a step behind NIKE when it comes to college football jerseys. Also do you think “new limited edition jerseys” are more of a marketing ploy than honorable gesture?
Nike and OREGON are so more advanced !!!!!! All their sport uniform are the best and the track and field this year GREAT.

Looks decent and it’s always fun to see something new but I’m such a fan of their regular uniforms I’d rather they just let it be.
