UPDATE
Another “idk yet” from Derrick Green when asked if he will commit to #Michigan before he leaves. That often means yes but we’ll see.

5-star RB Derrick Green (Richmond, Virginia) will be visiting Michigan this weekend and partaking in the BBQ at The Big House. Green is ranked as the #1 running back and #12 overall by rivals. He grew up a fan of Ohio State and Eddie George was his favorite player, which is the reason he wears #27. Green had been slated to attend Ohio State’s Friday Night Lights, but canceled that visit when the Buckeyes coaches said they would no longer be recruiting him. That means Green will spend the entire weekend in Ann Arbor.
Here is an excerpt from Green’s scouting report on ESPNU
One of the better power-backs this class has to offer. Green is a load and a strong, physically imposing runner ready to make the college jump…Has thick legs and strong power base. Quick to get downhill and attack the hole. Gains momentum fast…Not a lot of wasted cuts with this guy. Flashes the burst to get through tight in-line seams and into the second level quickly. Displays very good power to break tackles. He is an aggressive runner who drags tacklers and finishes runs falling forward. Will get the extra yards while wearing down a defense.
Derrick Green ran for more than 700 yards as a sophomore, but burst onto the scene last year with 1,493 yards and 19 touchdowns while leading Hermitage to the Group AAA Division 6 Central Region championship. Green has visited a dozen schools this summer including Alabama, Auburn and Ole Miss.
Green would be an absolute perfect fit as the power back in Brady Hoke’s pro-style offense. He will have a chance to meet with Coach Hoke face-to-face for the first time this weekend. He will also have a chance to bond with several of Michigan’s 2013 commits who will be in attendance as well as a host of 2014 recruits.

His run at the 6:30 mark of the video is awfully impressive. He’d certainly be a great fit behind the O-line’s coming through Ann Arbor.
