Will Hagerup ranks third nationally in punting with a 49.75 yard average.

Michigan enters the game ranked 17th in the AP Poll and 18th in the Coaches Poll.

Denard Robinson owns nine of the top 10 single-game total offense totals in U-M history. The only player not named Denard Robinson on the list is John Navarre.

Denard Robinson is two rushing touchdowns shy of becoming only the eighth player in NCAA history to rush for 40 touchdowns and pass for 40 touchdowns.

With 17 more tackles, Jordan Kovacs will become the 15th player and first defensive back in school history to join the 300 tackle club. It’s time to start wondering where he will land on this list: Michigan Football’s All-Time 10 Best Defensive Backs

Last week, true freshman linebacker Joe Bolden registered 10 tackles.

Frank Clark made his season debut against Air Force and recorded 4 tackles, 2 TFLs and 1 pass break up.

Devin Funchess hauled in 4 receptions for 106 yards and a TD last week. He was named the Big Ten’s Freshmen of the Week for his efforts.

Denard Robinson earned his 8th Big Ten Player of the Week award. He is one behind Ron Dayne for the most weekly honors in conference history.

Last week, Robinson became the first player in FBS history to have at least 200 yards rushing and 200 passing in three career games.

Robinson has 8,813 yards of total offense. He needs 488 to pass Chad Henne for No. 1 on Michigan’s all-time list.

Brady Hoke on Devin Funchess: “Obviously we recruited him, so we thought he had some ability. He’s done a nice job, I will say. He’s bigger than when he got here. He’s not afraid, which is good, because blocking’s a big part. He’s a little bit of a mismatch problem because of his range and his ability to run.”

ESPNs accuscore projects Michigan to win by a final score of 55-8, teamrankings.com has Michigan winning 53-4.

Michigan has 3 players with over 100 receiving yards this season; Jeremy Gallon (114), Devin Gardner (107), and Devin Funchess (106).

Michigan receiver Drew Dileo is a big fan of Jordan Kovacs and thinks Will Campbell over does the polo gear sometimes (see video below)

  1. My preference is how they did it with Ryan by going young. So far the #21 hasn’t been worn very well by outgoing Roy Roundtree.

  2. So what is your gut telling you who will be wearing the 87?…

    • Craig Roh

      • Tough to say…will they go young like they did with Ryan or one and done like Hemingway and Roh….I thought Roh too…but what about Black?…would it be too soon for Clark and his recently checkered past…he seems like a pretty dynamic player…or even Funchess…could be an TE…I have to be honest..I wasn’t too fired up about this unretiring of the numbers, but the intrigue is pretty cool.
