Michigan State Football: Le’Veon Bell wins second Big Ten Player of the Week award this season

East Lansing, Mich.— After rushing for a career-high 253 yards and a touchdown against Eastern Michigan on Saturday, Le’Veon Bell has been awarded the Big Ten Player of the Week award for the second time this season.

Bell’s performance is the sixth-highest single-game total in school history, and after Saturday’s game, he became the 16th player in Michigan State history to reach 2,000 career rushing yards.

The junior running back ranks 15th all-time on the school’s touchdown list with 26, and with the way the Spartans have been playing this year, Bell will slowly climb his way towards the top this season.

Bell is 17 touchdowns away from catching Michigan State great Lorenzo White for that touchdown record, and by the time he leaves MSU it’s very likely that he will be at the top of that list.
