North Carolina Basketball: Troy Williams has his finalists, again

For those that enjoy the recruiting aspect of college sports here is some news on Troy Williams, the 6’7″/190 lbs small forward who was about to commit to either North Carolina or Kentucky at the beginning of May and then reopened his recruiting. Now it seems that the forward, who is teamed up with future North Carolina basketball commit Nate Britt at Oak Hill Academy, has once again given his finalists, which are six in all. And being that we are in the technological era, the 2013 recruit used twitter to do so.

After the young man started his recruiting once again it was found out that the forward was on the verge to going to Kentucky, but it did not feel right. Then he began to think about committing with his AAU team mate Anthony “Cat” Barber, but when the point guard decided on N.C. State that theory vanished.

With Williams taking the Wildcats out of the mix, something that I have to say was surprising, since when he re started his recruiting he said that Kentucky and North Carolina were still on top of his list, things could get very interesting for the Tar Heels. His friend is now going to a UNC rival and with his uncle, legendary AAU coach Boo Williams, wanting him to be a Heel, I have to say that I would now not be surprised to see him donning the carolina blue.
