Detroit Lions weekly: Injury report, keys for MNF (video)

It’s no secret that the Detroit Lions’ secondary has some holes.

This past week against Philadelphia, the secondary looked better with the presence of safety Louis Delmas.  However, with corners Bill Bentley and Jacob Lacey not practicing so far this week, it has prompted Detroit to resign veteran corner Alphonso Smith.

Smith will begin his second stint with Detroit after being cut before the start of this season.

Defensive tackle Corey Williams returned to practice today after missing three weeks with a knee injury.  This is huge for Detroit, as he has been the team’s most consistent run-stopper in his time with the Lions, and was arguably their best defensive lineman before his injury in week three.

Other players who did not practice Thursday: FS Louis Delmas and DE Kyle Vanden Bosch, both who I anticipated would have the day off.
