This will be Michigan’s first game at Nebraska since 1911

Michigan leads the all-time series with a 4-2-1 record.

Jake Ryan ranks 5th in the Big Ten in tackles for loss (8.5) and 12th in tackles (52).

Ryan posted a sack in each of the last three games.

Senior defensive end Craig Roh has started a team-high 45 consecutive games.

Senior linebacker Kenny Demens and senior corner back JT Floyd are playing the best football of their careers right now.

Sophomore linebacker Desmond Morgan ranks second on the team in tackles (44) and posted a career-high 11 stops last week against MSU.

Morgan reached 100 career tackles last week and now has 107. Jake Ryan has 89 career tackles.

“We’ve been taught since Day 1 we’re a brotherhood,” Desmond Morgan said. “We’re close on and off the field. That’s one of those things, once we get on the field in those positions, it comes out.”

Redshirt junior Jeremy Gallon leads Michigan in receptions (16) and receiving yards (309).

Denard Robinson is 4th in Michigan history with 49 TD passes and tied for 3rd with 41 TD runs. Robinson ranks 4th in school history in passing yards (6,195) and 5th in rushing yards (4,129).

The Wolverines have out-rushed their Big Ten opponents 820 yards to 273.

Michigan has converted 47 of 95 third downs (49.5%), good for first in the Big Ten and 18th in the nation. The school record is 49.6% in 1986.

Fourteen of Denard Robinson’s 19 third-down rush attempts have resulted in first downs.

Over the last five games, Michigan’s defense is allowing 9.8 points per contest, while allowing only three touchdowns over that span (20 quarters). Michigan has not allowed a rushing touchdown since the second quarter of the Notre Dame game on September 22nd.

Michigan has allowed 13 plays of 20 yards or more. That is at least 10 fewer than any other Big Ten team.

Michigan’s defense has secured 6 interceptions over the past 4 games.

Brady Hoke made his weekly appearance on the Stoney and Bill show on WXYT-FM (97.1) on Thursday and was asked if he has ever husked corn. ”You’ve got to have technique, and you’ve got to have strong hands,” he explained.

Brendan Gibbons was named the Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts against the Spartans.

Gibbons has connected on his last 7 field goal attempts.

Gibbons now has 24 career field goals and has moved past Mike Lantry and K.C. Lopata (21) for eighth in U-M history. He needs just two more field goals to reach the seventh sport, currently held by Hayden Epstein.

    Ever since his coming out party last year against VT, Ryan has been nothing but a destructive force on the football field, blowing up plays everywhere. Love watching him play.
