Podcast: Pushing the Envelope (October 27, 2012)

It’s Saturday, it’s football season as NCAA begins it’s final run to the bowl games and the NFL nears the half way mark, there is basketball going on as the NCAA begins its couple of pre-season games and the NBA begins early next week, and that can only mean one thing… you need to start the weekend off with another episode of “Pushing the Envelope” podcast (9:30 a.m. til 11:00 a.m. EST), the show that never fence sits on sport subjects. In today’s show three great guests covering the world of college football and of course fantasy sports. Add to that my segments about “Don’t be that Guy/Gal” and “What the HECK were you thinking” and we have ninety minutes packed of excitement.

First off it’s Mike Felder (@InTheBleachers on twitter), writer for Your Best 11 on the Bleacher/Report. With Mike we will do “one sentence says…” as I ask him to describe each of the six major conferences in on sentence. I will then ask him about his biggest surprise for the year, a Heisman hopeful and the parting question of “if you could watch only one game which one would it be”. After that it’s the Y2K version of Jimmy the Greek, as Lauren Brownlow (@Lebrownlow on twitter), owner of the blog named One Game at a Time, stops by at 10:00 a.m. to talk about the Triangle (UNC, Duke and N.C. State). And finally, the dalai lama of the fantorama, also known as Michael Pichan, (@FantasyNomad on twitter), of rotoinfo.com podcast fame, comes on to discuss NFL start/sit with us for the upcoming week as well as to hit the NBA for any late comes drafting this weekend. Mike, who will be on from about 10:35 til the end, will also answer any questions that you may have about your fantasy team, so make sure to send them in either via twitter or facebook.

And finally, along with all of this, there is you, the listeners. You can call in and ask me or my guests anything you want @ (347) 215 7771. You can listen to the show both on CLNS Radio or on BlogTalkRadio, or if you can not make it live, you can always get the download on ITunes. In the end, it’s another football Saturday and the best way to tackle it is to listen to the show that never sits on the fence… Pushing the Envelope!
