Week 12 Record:   3-3     Record so far:     63-27…..70.0%

Michigan-42 Iowa-17…..CORRECT…..Michigan’s home winning streak now rests at 14 games until the beginning of the 2013 season when Central Michigan plays in Ann Arbor at the end of August….I don’t remember an Iowa team looking as bad as the one I just saw….even when the Wolverines were having their way with the Hawks in the late 80’s and 90’s…most of those games were close…last I checked, Iowa didn’t even ATTEMPT a pass to a WR…that was early in the 4^th quarter too…I think Ferentz has next year to get things right…but after 2013…he better have his stuff together..

Northwestern-23 Michigan State-20…..MISS…..I guess Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald will not require that nice white coat after his team held onto a lead and got a W on the road…congrats to the Wildcats for hitting their 8^th win of the season…MSU went winless at home in Big Ten play for the first time since 2006…tough year for Spartan fans…I would not like to be one of those guys that said MSU would be even better this year than they were last year…but I’m not…I actually told Spartan fans this would happen…they’re so jaded.

Penn State-45 Indiana-27…..CORRECT…..Matt McGloin is now the Penn State career record holder for most TD passes….let that one sink in  bit…he also last Saturday established a new single-season passing yardage mark and the record for most completions in a season….What a quiet career he’s had…another thing I have always told people since I saw him play..I saw he had talent…4 years later…record-breaker….Darryl Clark, Kerry Collins, Todd Blackledge…all of those guys are in McGloins rearview mirror….congrats Matt!

Purdue-20 Illinois-17…..CORRECT…..I thought I remember reading somewhere that some sports-writing guy somewhere in Illinois wanted Fighting Illini coach Tim Beckman to be fired before last week’s game…Really?….ten games into his first season?…before his first real recruiting class can even be evaluated honestly?..how can you even debate with yourself to even legitimately publish something like that?…that’s like when you are a child and your parents place dinner in front of you to eat and you start screaming and squawking without even trying it…just by smell you want nothing to do with it…insanely ridiculous.

Nebraska-38 Minnesota-14…..MISS…..I have to be honest…once or twice a year I wildly stab into the darkness at a game (or ‘call an upset’)…could you tell by my less-than Chad-like performance this year?..this was one of those times..I have been bally-hooing about how much of a different team the Corn is at home that they are on the road and I should’ve listened to such bally-hooings…Minnesota was overmatched and outmanned…and I knew it…but I just wanted it so badly for Jerry Kill and his staff and that university…they so need a big W like that…maybe next year.

Ohio State-21 Wisconsin-14 OT…..MISS…..you gotta take note at how the Badgers contained the Buckeyes offense…held them under 250 yards for the day and completely shut them down after the half..I think OSU only crossed the 50 only once in the 2^nd half..kudos to Badger HB Montee’ Ball who tied the NCAA record with his 78^th TD…pretty sure he will break the record with three games left…I am about as confident he will break the record as I am in the fact that whatever food we put in front of my daughter tonight, she will scream and squawk about it without even tasting it…
