Atlanta Falcons: Top Free Agent Must-Haves

The official start of the NFL offseason is now approximately forty-eight hours away, which means that the scramble for free agents will start before you know it. Although the free agency period has not begun yet, you can bet that teams across the country have already formulated a battle plan and have scouted the players that they are interested in bringing in.

One such team is the Atlanta Falcons, who had a solid 2012 season but ultimately failed to reach the Super Bowl. Here are five free agents that the Falcons should consider if they wish to be playing in Super Bowl XLVIII in MetLife Stadium come February 2014:

I like the offensive gaurd Andy Levitre, he’s seems to be a consistent pro and could help out in the run game. Dannel Elerbe LB for the Baltimore Ravens would be very interesting, we will see how good he is tommorrow at 6:30 eastern time. The other three prospects seem to be injury prone. The Falcons have brought in guys who came off injuries and didn’t pan-out. I like the draft for a DE, RB, and TE.

Yeah I agree 100% on Atlanta going after a defensive end, running back, and tight end in the draft; in fact, my next article on the Falcons, which lists the five players the Falcons should consider with their first round pick, has one RB, 2 TE’s, and one DE included.
