Georgia Bulldogs Recruiting Update: 5 Players on the Dawgs’ Radar

The Georgia Bulldogs currently hold the 9th best recruiting class in all of FBS football, according to 24/7 Sports, but there is still room for that class to get even better if the Dawgs are able to reel in some high-caliber recruits on Wednesday, the 2013 edition of National Signing Day. Here are five recruits that Georgia has pursued and the chances that they could be wearing a Georgia shirt, sporting a Bulldogs hat, or holding a white English bulldog puppy sometime on Wednesday:

Player, Position, Location
247 Sports Ranking (Height Weight)
Chances He Commits to Georgia
Robert Nkemdiche, DE, Loganville, GA

#1 DE, #1 overall player (6'4" 285 lbs)0%.As much as Georgia fans would love to pull in the Peach State's top player, there's just no way that Nkemdiche will be playing in Athens other than once a year. Where He Lands: Ole Miss
Laremy Tunsil, OT, Lake City, FL

#1 OT, #3 overall (6'6" 295 lbs)40%. Tunsil would give Georgia a nice amount of depth at offensive tackle, which is always a good thing, but a run from one of the hottest SEC teams this recruiting season may derail that possibility becoming a reality. Where He Lands: Ole Miss
Montravius Adams, DT, Vienna, GA

#2 DT, #10 overall (6'4" 310 lbs)55%.Adams is the type of big defensive tackle that the Bulldogs need to successfully run their 3-4 defensive scheme, but a late run from Auburn and former Bulldogs recruiting coordinator Rodney Garner could ruin the Dawgs' chances on landing him. Where He Lands: Georgia
Reuben Foster, LB, Auburn, AL

#4 LB, #15 overall (6'1" 240 lbs)Chances He Commits to Georgia: 30%. Foster's decision is coming two days earlier than most of the other recruits, as he is set to make his announcement tonight at 10 o'clock. It appears that Foster is set on deciding between Auburn, Alabama, and Georgia, and no matter what happens tonight, I would advise fans of any of these three schools to wait until Foster sends in his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday to start celebrating. Where He Lands: Auburn
Alvin Kamara, RB, Norcross, GA

#13 RB, #66 overall (5'10" 195 lbs)45%. Kamara seems to be down to Alabama and Georgia, but the logjam at both schools at the running back position puts this one at a dead heat. In the end, Kamara may have to decide on either staying closer to home or going out of state to win a national championship. Where He Lands: Alabama

While only landing one of these five players may seem a bit disappointing, it is important to note that Georgia already has 30 commits, leaving very little wiggle room to add more.

Make sure and check in on Wednesday night to get a quick overview of Georgia’s complete recruiting class.

  1. Frankly, I wish more of these were headed to UGA!!

  2. Hi Jordan,

Are you back on board? I just posted a GT article and saw there was a dawg posting with your name attached. If you’re back with isportsweb here is a silent toast to celebrate the return of both Georgia schools to the site. Hope all is well.
