As the letters of intent came streaming into the Michigan Football offices on 2013 signing day, the Wolverines also picked up their second commitment in the 2014 class. QB Wilton Speight (Richmond, Virginia) committed during a phone call with the coaches. Speight is a 6-foot-6, 220 pound pocket passer. He has already pledged to recruit the 2014 class the same way Shane Morris did the 2013 class.
As a junior, Speight passed for 2,500 yards and 29 touchdowns.
Speight joins LB Michael Ferns as the only two members of Michigan’s 2014 recruiting class. Below is some video from Speight’s junior season.
