LeSean “Shady” McCoy was absent from tonight’s starting lineup, but you wouldn’t have remembered that the way Philadelphia Eagles’ running backs Bryce Brown, and Chris Polk played tonight in the first quarter. Polk had a nice few carries from the early going to help set up a 43 yard bomb to DeSean Jackson.
Polk has had an outstanding training camp and has really impressed the coaches. Running back coach Duce Staley had praised Polk around the same time last season, just before he suffered a torn ACL. There were even questions of whether Polk would make the squad after the signing of former Cowboys running back, Felix Jones. So far so good for Polk, and the running back core for gang green.
As for Bryce Brown, he scored the only rushing touchdown for the birds in the first half. with happy feet if i do say so myself. Him and Polk, if both make the team, could run a three-headed monster with Shady.
The notorious song to parents over the age of fifty, which would be Eminem’s “Hi My Name Is” relates to Philadelphia Eagles’ halfback, LeSean McCoy. However, Shady is not known for his nickname through Marshall Mathers’ song, but through a random nickname his mother gave him as a baby. That being said, the “odd” situation could be as far as selecting who the third running back will be. Though, that is a positive problem to have. There may be a reuniting of a three-monster running back core from 2003 (Westbrook, Staley, Buckhalter).
