Not since the Virginia Tech game has Alabama allowed opposing running backs more than 72 yards on offense.
That’s why members of Bama’s defense know that they have a special challenge coming this week against Arkansas and their rushing skill players.
“To me, they’re the best we’ve seen,” said Alabama linebacker Trey DePriest. “They’re real patient in how they run behind they’re blocks and they’re real good about cutting it back and also they’re strong because when they get cut back they get hit but they still stay up and gain yards after the hit.”
DePriest also added that Arkansas will be the most physical offense Alabama Football will face.
“It’s definitely going to be a smashmouth football game.”
In Bret Bielema’s first season with Razorbacks, they come to Tuscaloosa with a 3-4 record with nothing to lose and a history of making games exciting in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
