If you’re looking for a fun way to spice up your Thanksgiving day, why not have a fantasy football draft of just the teams playing in this Thursday’s game? Perhaps set a format where you have one player at each position so that your entire family can get into the action.
There are three games being played on Turkey day. The first features the Green Bay Packers vs. the Detroit Lions. This game should be interesting, as Aaron Rodgers is doubtful to play. In his absence, Matt Flynn will have to prove that he can carry the offense in this important division battle.
The second game pits the Oakland Raiders against the Dallas Cowboys. In a game where we will see a lot of offense from Tony Romo and company against the deficient Oakland defense. Another backup in Raiders quarterback Matt McGloin will step in and with the return of frequently injured running back Darren McFadden, they will try to prove that they can oust the Cowboys.
The game of the night, on NBC between the 5-6 Pittsburg Steelers vs. the 5-6 Ravens is the battle between the two second-place AFC North teams. We will see which team has the ability to overpower each other in this classic rivalry game.
Here is a look at the fantasy rankings corresponding to the players participating on Thanksgiving Day.
1.Calvin Johnson 11. Darren McFadden
2. Eddie Lacy 12. Joe Flacco
3. Reggie Bush 13. Torrey Smith
4. Tony Romo 14. Jason Witten
5. Matthew Stafford 15. Ray Rice
8. Antonio Brown
10. Jordy Nelson
GB vs. DET FOX
OAK vs. DAL CBS
PIT vs. BAL NBC
Steal of the draft: Detroit Defense. Look for the Lions, who are desperate for a win, to try to bring pressure up the middle against Matt Flynn and the struggling Packers line. Detroit has experienced two heartbreaking loses in a row and I do not see the Lions giving up many points in this battle versus the Packers. It is going to be loud at Ford Field, a dome, and it will be tough for Matt Flynn to pass against the Lions.
