This week was a tough week for fantasy owners as they witnessed Rob Gronkowski go down with a torn ACL. Now owners are scrambling to find a replacement tight end. Here is a look a potential replacements for Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski.
Health Miller- Owned in just 16 % of leagues Miller is a solid option to replace Gronk. His production has not been spot on but Ben Roethlisberger is continuing to play better. Look for Miller who to be open as a safety valve when Roethlisberger is under pressure.
Garret Graham- Owned in only 37 % of leagues, Graham had 13 points last Thursday vs. the Jaguars. He has become one of Case Keenum’s favorite targets, as he has replaced Owen Daniels’ production these last few weeks. If you are in search of a tight end to replace Gronk, consider Graham for the long run.
Scott Chandler- The tight end for Buffalo plays Jacksonville next week, making him a great pickup. His production has been down lately but he will likely produce against the Jags. Chandler is owned in 18 % of leagues.
Josh Gordon has been going off every week and does not appear to be slowing down anytime soon. Even against a tough Patriots defense, he managed to catch a touchdown and had 151 receiving yards. His 774 receiving yards in the past four games is an NFL record.
Alex Smith- After an impressive outing in the 45-10 rout against the Redskins, he is still only owned in 66 % of leagues. The Chiefs play Oakland next week and Smith is certain to produce big numbers again. He is a good option if you are looking for security at quarterback.
Stud of week 14: LeSean McCoy going off in a snowing game the Eagles where forced to run the ball. And they did as McCoy got 29 rush for 2 touchdowns and an impressive 219 yards. McCoy gained 33 fantasy points.
Dud of week 14: Adrian Peterson. AP got hurt halfway into the game and backup Toby Gerhart picked up his slack with 89 rushing yards and a touchdown. Most people counted on Peterson to help their team to victory as he has all season, but he ended up with only 3 fantasy points
