New York Giants vs Seattle Seahawks week 15 preview

team huddle bleacherreport.netThe New York Giants (5-8) have been eliminated from playoff contention, and will be playing the best team in the NFL in the Seattle Seahawks(11-2). The Giants have nothing to play for except pride, and Seattle will be looking to  improve their record, and get closer to securing home field advantage. The Seattle Seahawks are the best team in the NFL with a great defense and explosive offense, the Giants do not have a good chance in this game.

The Giants will be going up against a defense that is good at getting after the quarterback their pass defense is ranked first in the league. Seattle has 36 sacks as a team, and that is tied for 11th best in the NFL, and they are also tied for second with the best takeaway/giveaway differential in the NFL with plus 12. Seattle has a total of 28 takeaways, 17 interceptions and 11 fumbles, and they have only given the ball away 16 times. They are good at forcing turnovers, and they do a good job keeping the ball. With Eli Manning leading the league in interceptions, the Seattle Seahawks will force turnovers on defense for their explosive offense.

On the offensive side the Seahawks have the clear advantage, and Russell Wilson is having a great year to follow his rookie season. Russell Wilson has a completion percentage of 64.5% for 2871 yards and 23 touchdowns, and he only has seven interceptions. Marshawn Lynch is also having a great season with 1042 rushing yards with 10 touchdowns. Seattle’s offense is explosive and puts up points by the bunches, and with out an effective passing attack the Giants will not stop Russell Wilson.

The only thing that gives the Giants any hope of competing in this game is that Seattle will be traveling across country. The only thing that is likely to effect is the amount of points Seattle beats the Giants by, and do not be surprised if the Seahawks blow this game out early. The Seattle Seahawks are going to be the clear victors in this game, and will be one step closer in playing the Super Bowl at MetLife stadium. Seattle wins this game 42-24.
