MSU Basketball: Branden Dawson out 4-5 weeks with broken right hand

EAST LANSING — Michigan State may be without two starters for Saturday’s top-25 matchup against Michigan, as the school announced earlier today in a press conference that junior forward Branden Dawson will be sidelined for four to five weeks with a broken right hand.

Dawson will have surgery later on this evening, and said that he slammed his hand during a film session this morning. If everything goes as planned, Dawson could return for the Spartans’ meeting with the Wolverines in Ann Arbor, Mich., on Feb. 23.

Along with the 6-foot-6 Dawson, the Spartans may be without senior big man Adreian Payne on Saturday as he has missed the last four games with a foot sprain.

Dawson is averaging 10.2 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per game on the season.

What an idiot!!! He did it to himself. How Izzo can completely forgive him and expect the fans to forgive him is unbelievable. Who injures themselves this way. I love how you just glossed over how he did it. Afraid of Izzo?
