Mexico Soccer: Ruthless machine; Cruz Azul continues its domination

Cruz Azul has been a ruthless machine this season devouring its opposition week after week.

Marco Fabians stunning goal last week against Puebla was matched by two dazzling strikes this week from Mauro Formica and Rogelio Chavez.

La Maquina continued its domination in the LigaMX with a confident 3-1 victory over Queretaro Friday in the Estadio Corregidora.

A solid performance from Cruz Azul saw them acquire an important 3 point away from home as well as helped the Cementeros to stay undefeated this season.

An early goal from Queretaro saw Cruz Azul go down early in the match but a penalty and two stunning strikes from Chavez and Formica saw the Cementeros to a comfortable victory over los Gallos Blancos.

Cruz Azul is definitively the team to beat in the LigaMX this season. With America and Leon both feeling the anxiety of reproducing spectacular runs that got them to the final last season. Cruz Azul on the other hand is reaping the benefits of being pressure free.

Cruz Azul has grown accustom to coming up short and hasnt acquired a title since the Winter of 97. After a heartbreaking run back in 2013 in which Cruz Azul fell to America in the final the Cementeros will look to undo its championship curse.

After such a long drout Cruz Azuls looks ready to once again take the spotlight at the top of the Liga. With a fit Marco Fabian and the return of chaco Gimenez Cruz Azul looks a dangerous machine .

Exuding great confidence at the moment there is no denying that if Cruz Azul can maintain its current form then there is no doubt it will be a contender for this seasons championship.
