Barclays Premier League: Gameweek 28 Preview

Everton v West Ham United

Barclays Premier League

Barclays Premier League

Everton will be looking to keep up with the pace of the top four as there are eight points away from a Champions League position. Although this seems unlikely, with tough fixtures all around the Premier League, this season is far from over. On the other hand, West Ham United will be looking for anything tomorrow as they are the away team. With a close relegation battle, the last thing West Ham want is to be sucked back into it. Be looking out for a close scoreline at Goodison Park.

Matchday Prediction: 2-1 Everton

Fulham v Chelsea

Chelsea’s away form has been the achilles heel of a strong Chelsea squad. However, with a win tomorrow they will pull ahead in the title race for the time being. This will not be a difficult task because Fulham are an extremely weak team. Although Fulham have struggled this season, it is possible that the appointment of their new manager will inspire them to a shocking victory.

Matchday Prediction: 3-0 Chelsea

Hull City v Newcastle

Hull City will be looking to add to a run of impressive results which have left them in comfortable position for the next eleven games. They will be looking to thrash Newcastle in front of their fans, but Loic Remy will be standing in their way. The frenchman has been in prolific form this season, but results are inconsistent for Newcastle. One month, they will have consecutive wins, then they will have consecutive loses. Maybe this weekend, they can pull off a victory away from home.

Matchday Prediction: 1-1

Stoke City v Arsenal

There is no denying what is at stake for Arsenal this weekend. A loss would put them another win away from the Barclays Premier League title, which would be devastating to the number of Arsenal fans who want some silverware. Despite facing Stoke, Arsenal will find it tough away from home. Stoke City have brought a new style of physical defense in front of their home fans. Adding that and the occasional counter attacking goal has been leading Stoke’s charge to stay in the top flight.

Matchday Prediction: 3-2 Arsenal

Southampton v Liverpool

Liverpool with enter St. Mary’s with a very positive attitude. Brendan Rodgers has lead them to their best position in the BPL in a few years. But their next goal will be to beat Southampton. With the strike force of Suarez and Sturridge, the victory for the reds is almost inevitable for Southampton.

Matchday Prediction: 3-2 Liverpool

Aston Villa v Norwich

As tensions intensify nearer the bottom of the table, these two teams will be battling it out for another step to safety. After an emotional win last week against Tottenham, Norwich City are looking to extend a magnificent run of form. They have drawn Man City and beat Tottenham at Carrow Road, which is surprising for a team like Norwich. However, they defied all odds in those games, so they will be hoping for another three points this weekend. Look for the winger Robert Snodgrass to make an impact for the Canaries.

Matchday Prediction: 2-1 Norwich

Swansea v Crystal Palace

Tony Pulis has reinvented a weak Palace side and have turned them around, but they are certainly not safe. They are entering the last stage of their season, and wins against other mid table teams will put them in a great position to win. Palace will look to beat Swansea’s possession game by quick counter attacks, but that won’t be easy.

Matchday Prediction: 2-0 Swansea

Tottenham v Cardiff

Cardiff are weak, and Tottenham are strong: two teams on the opposite sides of the table will take center stage on Sunday at White Hart Lane. Tottenham will look to run the game by including their in-form hit-man Emmanuel Adebayor. He has been scoring plenty of goals, but his partner, Roberto Soldado, has not. However, if Tottenham can get the two strikers firing on all cylinders, the game will be over before it started. Simply, Cardiff have no chance of winning this match.

Matchday Prediction: 4-1 Tottenham
