Taylor is ranked #41 overall by rivals and #75 overall by espn. Rivals has him pegged as the sixth best cornerback in the country. He chose Michigan over Michigan State, Stanford, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Here’s an excerpt of his scouting report on espn;
Possesses excellent height and weight for the corner position at this stage…Displays very good ball skills. Flips his hips well for a taller corner and can turn and run stride for stride with faster receivers…A dominant run and pass perimeter defender…Taylor is a physically impressive athlete at the corner position. Very good tackler in defending the run and is a faster closer in zone coverage.
Taylor made his decision after a recent visit to Michigan. Fans should tip their cap to cornerbacks coach Roy Manning, who was Taylor’s primary recruiter.
