Michigan Basketball recruiting: Aubrey Dawkins goes blue

Michigan Basketball picked up a commitment from 3 star guard Aubrey Dawkins. Dawkins, who originally hails from Palo Alto, California, played this past season at New Hampton Prep in New Hampshire.

Dawkins, who is the son of Stanford head coach Johnny Dawkins, checks in at 6-5, 185. He is an above the rim player who can also fill it up from beyond the arc. He averaged 13 points per game for a loaded New Hampton team. Here are some highlights from his senior season at Palo Alto.

Dawkins chose Michigan over Dayton. He has a high ceiling and under the tutelage of Michigan’s outstanding coaching staff, he should become a very good college player.

Dawkins is the sixth member of Michigan’s 2014 recruiting class.
