According to reports by ESPN, West Virginia transfer guard Eron Harris is headed to East Lansing to play for the Michigan State Spartans.
Last year as a sophomore Harris averaged 17 points per game while shooting nearly 44 percent from three.
Harris, who transferred away from West Virginia to be closer to his home in Indianapolis, Ind. will redshirt next season due to the NCAA’s rule for transfers, before playing out his final two years of eligibility in the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons.
Things were made twitter official Monday morning with a tweet from Eron Harris himself:
I am a Spartan now… can’t wait to get started at my new home!

It’s certainly a big get for Tom Izzo and Michigan State. The addition of Harris, along with other recent commitments to the MSU program (Lourawls Nairn, Javon Bess, Marvin Clark of the ’14 class and Deyonta Davis and Kyle Ahrens of ’15), makes the Spartans contenders for years to come. And it’s all the more reason to believe the MSU basketball program is in good hands with Tom Izzo.
