On Thursday the Big Ten Conference announced the Nov. 8 game between the 2013 Big Ten Champion Michigan State Spartans and the Ohio State Buckeyes will kickoff under the lights at Spartan Stadium. The game is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. and will be televised on ABC.
The game will mark the first ever night game in the month of November at Spartan Stadium, and will be the third night game of the season in East Lansing, joining the season opener against Jacksonville State and the Oct. 4 match up against Nebraska. The Spartans will also take to the road on Nov. 15 for a 8:00 p.m. kickoff against the Maryland Terrapins in addition to one other “night” game which will kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET at Oregon on September 6.
Simply put, night games are cool.
They may even become the norm in years to come, not only for Michigan State football but for Big Ten football as well.
And lastly, sometimes these night games allow for super cool sights like this:
Doesn’t that look awesome?
Plan accordingly Spartan fans. Kickoff is less than 50 days away.
