Michigan Football’s BBQ at the Big House is slated for Sunday afternoon. The Wolverines kickstarted the weekend with a huge commitment from 2015 WR/Safety Brian Cole (Saginaw, Michigan). Cole, who has been on campus since Friday with quarterback commit Alex Malzone, announced on twitter that he has committed to Michigan.
Cole, who choose U-M over Ohio State and Michigan State, becomes the ninth member of Michigan’s 2015 recruiting class. He checks in at 6-foot-2, 210 and is ranked the #65 player in the country by 247sports. Here’s an excerpt of his scouting report on espn;
He’s big, strong and fast. Has good height, long arms and has huge upside for frame development over time. He is an explosive 0 to 60 player with great feet and a second gear. Possesses an ideal combination of physical prowess and speed with excellent agility on both sides of the football…It is really easy to like Cole athletically. He can flat out run and already possesses impressive measurables that are only going to get better…Runs with an aggressive style and has very good height and weight for a skill prospect. Uses his good playing strength to break tackles and move the pile. A hard runner who earns bonus yards after contact and can accelerate in the second level to separate…
Cole has played safety, quarterback, running back and wide receiver for Saginaw Heritage. He earned All-State honors as a junior while lining up at running back. He rushed for 1,213 yards and 16 touchdowns. Defensively he tallied 47 tackles and 5 interceptions.
