Yesterday was another great day in fantasy baseball. The players I suggested played great. Stephen Strasburg went eight shutout innings with 10 strike outs. Troy Tulowitzki had a double with two RBI and A-Rod went 2-5 with a RBI. Today there are a bunch o of gamesn tap and plenty of options to choose from. Below are three players I like in today’s games.
Whenever I construct a team, I look at pitching first and always. Today there are a bevy of quality pitchers taking the mound. Seeing this, I want to choose a stud pitcher with the easiest match up. My choice is Madison Bumgarner. The former World Series MVP faces the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight. Of all the Diamondback hitters, only Paul Goldschmidt offers a formidable challenge. Although the Diamondbacks will have Zack Greinke on the mound, I expect the Giants to scratch some runs off Greinke and help get Bumgarner the winning decision.
Riding with Tulowitzki again tonight. In his last game, he hit the ball extremely hard and started to show signs of why the Blue Jays traded for him. Facing Ubaldo Jimenez in tonight’s game, I am betting that Tulowitzki gets some good wood on the ball again. This is a great spot for Troy to hit a home run, as Jimenez skills have declined over recent years. The batters in front of Tulowitzki are also performing well right now, so he should have base runners when he comes to bat.
Wright who has three hits in his last ten at bats, blasted two home runs in Monday’s game. So far this season, the New York Mets third baseman is hitting .279 with a hit in nine of his last ten games. Tonight he faces Phillies starter Jeremy Hellickson who is a below average pitcher. I like Wright to stay hot and have a chance for a multi hit game.
Those are my picks in daily fantasy baseball. Check back tomorrow for more selections.
