For the first time in the XXI century, Arsenal are risking not to qualify for the Champions League. The away loss to West Bromwich (3-1), which is the fourth in last five games, leaves Arsenal outside the top 4 in the league and significantly decreases their chances to finish the season in the Champions League zone.
Never before, Arsene Wenger failed to qualify to the main European tournament as Arsenal’s coach. If it happens now, most likely it will be the end of his career in Arsenal. At least, a lot of Arsenal’s fans hope that Wenger will have to leave the club at the end of the season.
The opposition against Wenger existed in the last couple of years. However, it has never been so strong. After the loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League (2-10 on aggregate), the fans started to boycott the games of their team and appeal to Wenger to quit the club.

The club supporters want to see Arsenal winning the trophies, like in the last decade when Arsenal won the Premier League without losing a single game. For them, that time was the best in the club’s history. Arsenal succeeded both locally and internationally. In 2006, the Gunners reached the Champions League final where were barely stopped by Barcelona.
Since then, Arsenal have not won anything significant besides two FA Cups. The expectations from the club are still high, but all the dreams to win a trophy usually go down by the end of a season and the scenario is usually the same. Arsenal performs well at the beginning of the season and qualifies from the Champions League group stage, but then, the team starts losing points in the Premier League and gets knocked out of the Champions League in the round of 16.
If Arsène Wenger wins his SEVENTH FA Cup for Arsenal Football club this season, would you still want him out? #AFC

Of course, the problem is not only in Wenger. He is a great coach and he achieved great results with Arsenal, but maybe now Arsenal’s fans are right and the club needs to turn over the page and start everything from the beginning?
