So, you’re saying there’s a chance? Adrian Wojnarowski thinks so.
The experts believe that Brian Bowen will continue to play his basketball at Arizona University. But, doesn’t it make you wonder why this news about Miles Bridges came on the day of when the five star, seven footer Brandon McCoy is thinking about making his announcement?
Miles Bridges in his sophomore campaign at Michigan State? Lethal. The team that is returning with the core of Joshua Langford, Cassius Winston and Nick Ward was already going to contend for a Big Ten regular season championship.
Now, let’s add Xavier Tillman, Jaren Jackson Jr. and now maybe Miles Bridges. This should be a top five team heading into next fall and a team that would have an abundance of high expectations ahead of them.
The fans can speculate all they want what this potentially means for number 22, but one more year for Miles Bridges should undoubtedly raise his draft stock and put Michigan State in serious talks for a National Championship contender.
If Miles Bridges were to come back to the starting lineup next season we could look at a starting five that features
PG: Cassius Winston/Tum-Tum Nairn
SG: Joshua Langford
SF: Miles Bridges
PF: Nick Ward
C: Gavin Schilling/Jaren Jackson Jr.
Let’s not forget the abundance of talent that would be coming off the bench with Matt McQuaid, Kenny Goins, Kyle Ahrens, Xavier Tillman and whoever doesn’t start at the point guard and center position.
It would be an incredible feat to have Miles Bridges return to the Spartans for just one more year, to improve his own draft stock and to potentially hang a couple more banners in the Breslin.
Although we do not have any information that confirms that Bridges will in fact return for his sophomore campaign, this definitely is a step in the right direction for one more year at Michigan State.
